This is in response to Justa Thought. You brought up a good point. Many people have their funeral arrangements taken care of by family members and are not responsible for the placement of giant headstones on their graves. I was aiming at those who prepare for their death well ahead of time, and spend a ton of dough on giant stone memorials to mark their spots in the earth. I have heard of dreadful stories about arrogant souls who have engaged in this type of behavior.

I have no headstone picked out for myself, do you really have one for yourself? Maybe those buried have been much loved and those who loved them really went overboard in their time of greif. Or maybe in life they were ill treated by those they shared their time here with and it is somewhat a compensation for love not shared.
