Is it really worth the effort?
It’s Wednesday, and I’m late, but still good to my word – I have a new cartoon to show you. (Image after jump.) This one was inspired by the crazy hoops and hurdles that cell phone operators make customers go through and over in order to get what is rightfully theirs. I really hope that you like it, and that you add your own captions, thoughts or suggestions in the comment section.
THIS IS NOT THE CAPTION CONTEST, BUT FEEL FREE TO POST A FEW CAPTIONS, OR JUST SHARE A THOUGHT OR TWO.

The makers of electronics are worse than phone companies. Try adding Sony and Panasonic next time.
I paid 125 to renew my cheap cellphone and got 800 minutes for the year. It is all I need. No monthly bills, etc etc.
It is nice to have a phone for emergencies and important quick calls but spending all day with a phone stuck in my ear is not my idea of a good time.

GET RID OF THOSE MONTHLY BILLS AND FANCY CELL PHONES> YOU DONT NEED EM>
I hate cellphones. Back when the earpiece cells first came out, I was in a coworker’s office and she was wearing a hot pink metallic earphone. I thought we were discussing a work-related project when she suddenly put her finger in my face and went “shhhh”. Shocked, I suddenly realized she had been talking to that earphone the entire time. I finally got her attention, put my special finger in her face, and walked back to my office. Later, she came by to apologize and I asked her if she wore that thing all the time. Her answer was “yes, even to bed”. I didn’t go there. Don’t even want to imagine that.
Wow. That’s a disturbing story. I see so many people wearing those earphones as fashion accessories. Funny how they were relegated to Star Trek conventions not too long ago. Have you read the articles this week on text messaging and car accidents?
Much of the media emphasis on texting associates the habit with the younger generation. In my own experience, that’s not necessarily true. I know many adults who text and try to drive, although they’re reducing their own numbers due to vehicle crashes.
